Product Summary

The J Vent is a great choice for static ventilation and can be used with most roofing materials.  The J Vent provides a low silhouette, is open on two sides for better air flow and has a built-in insect screen.  The improved air flow helps eliminate moisture as well as heat build-up. The J Vent comes in a range of sizes from 3-inch up to 14-inch diameter openings. This product is quality constructed in heavy gauge pre-painted steel. This product is made with a bottom extension to accommodate a piped connection. When ordering the model without bottom extension please see our JV series.

    The FAMCO J Style Roof Vent is not designed to be used with a forced air exhaust and is for static ventilation. I recommend going with our RDP Rooftop Exhaust Vent with Damper and Bottom Extension. This would work for forced air exhausts.

    A Yes, the FAMCO J Style Roof Vent would work on a flat roof, typically you want to use a vent with a higher clearance on a flat roof. We have this vent with a larger 6 inch clearance available here.

    This style J Vent does not include a damper. We also sell a model with a 6" clearance here. This item is returnable but subject to our return policy which can be viewed here.
