    Hi, I have found that our wood stove chimney has only a rain guard on top of it, with no screen to keep out animals. This is a problem as it is a cottage in the woods. Would this product be acceptable to insert and fix to the inside of the rain guard to keep out animals? Thank you

    Thank you for your inquiry! The Vacu-Stack Chimney Cap Screens are only designed to be used with Vacu-Stack caps. However, if you want to fit these to your cap they can work to keep critters and debris out.

    The Vacu-Stack Chimney Cap Screens are similar to many other chimney cap screens, and would not specifically prevent build up. We recommend using a creosote remover and maintaining your chimney to prevent your screen from clogging up.
