The Rutland Castable Refractory Cement 601 is a dry mix cement, just add water. It sets and dries as hard as firebrick. Use to cast custom shapes, replace worn-out firebrick, or fill large holes in masonry firebox or as a solid stone bed. May also be used to build or repair outdoor fire pits. For outdoor use, temperature rating: 2200°F. Does not require heat to cure, minimum 24 hr dry time. Gray color, may be painted when dry. 12 1/2 lbs casts a block 12″ x 12″ x 1 1/2″
