The Quarrix Composite Roof Tile provides the same beautiful look as traditional clay and concrete tiles but with the benefits of a lightweight synthetic roof tile material. 67% less weight than traditional roof tiles, Quarrix double barrel roof tile can be installed on existing homes and buildings without needing structural roof modifications that other materials may require. Each synthetic tile is lightweight, fast and easy to install weighing only 3.38 lbs. Each piece interlocks, is pre-drilled and features easy-to-read alignment marks. This composite roofing material can be cut, drilled and fastened with standard tile roofing tools and does not contain silica or lead. The Quarrix Composite Roof Tile is available in six different colors. They are available in singles, or 90 tile packs.

    The Quarrix Composite Roof requires venting and battens underneath that would not work properly if the existing asphalt shingles are left in tact. We recommend to remove the previous material for proper installation.

  2. My house is about 100 years old and has a canopy of Spanish tiles, this shape ^ in front of the house. Some of the tiles are broken and want to replaced them by the composite tiles can you tell me if the composite tiles are appropriate for my project. I want them to last another 100 years. Also want to know if the size is the same as the spanish tiles.

    The Quarrix Composite Roof Tiles are not meant to be used along with traditional tiles, the size may be the same but the composite tiles would not fit properly with the traditional ones.

    The Quarrix Composite Roof Tiles will not crack and are not susceptible to the freeze, thaw, mold, mildew, and sealing concerns associated with clay and concrete roofs.

    The Quarrix Composite Roof Tiles work great in any climate and weather conditions. They are approved for all climates, and are less susceptible to cracking than traditional tiles. This tile along with all the proper ventilation products, will keep the roof cool and protect it from the heat.

    This product has various certifications and ratings that are located on the spec sheet. You can view them there and see if they are approved for your area.

    It is highly recommended that they are installed by a roofer with experience in tile, slate, and other high end roofing solutions.

  24. I plan to build a canopy/awning/roof on the front of my house extending over two windows. The awning can have dimensions of (width = 19-22 feet) and (depth = 3-4 feet). Are there optimal numbers within this range to help me reduce the quantity (I was thinking of buying one square @ $900.00) and the amount of cutting that would be required? Also, what tools would be required for cutting the tile?

    A We typically recommend ordering between 8-12% more tile to account for cuts and damage. One square would probably be your best option for this project. For making cuts, the manufacturer suggests using a saw equipped with a carbide or diamond-tipped blade. Let us know if you have any other questions about this product.

    Hi, great questions. Quarrix tiles are designed for all climates and will not crack due to extreme cold or heat. Their dimensions are 13″ x 16 1/2″.
