The National Chimney Insert Adapter has two piece design allows it to slide to adjust the center-to-center distance of the collars. This means it can be set between 0" to 9" offset.

After attempting to make the part work I realized that it was not the correct size and would have to return. The return policy states that I need to pay for the full shipping cost ($46!!) and a 25% restocking fee. So I ended up paying for 1/2 the cost of the item without having it. When purchasing items like this, returns are commonly needed, so these fees are completely ridiculous when compared to the rest of the industry.
Hi Andrew, the restocking fee that is applied for this item is because it is what we are charged from the manufacturer to facilitate a return. If you are needing to order a different size or item we are willing to waive the fee in an exchange. We appreciate your understanding in the matter and hope that you will shop with us again.
