The FAMCO Plastic Rooftop Exhaust Vent with Bottom Extension is made of high-density polyethylene (HDP), one of the most versatile and widely used plastics available. This plastic vent contains UV inhibitors which help protect the material from deteriorating in the sunlight. The extension on the BVDS can be removed for hard connect applications. This vent comes with a built-in damper to prevent backdraft and includes a built-in 1/4″ screen to prevent hood access by birds and many insects. The screen can be removed for use as a rooftop dryer vent, but it is not designed to be reinserted once it is removed.
The FAMCO Plastic Rooftop Exhaust Vent with Bottom Extension is available in black or dark brown. It is available in two different sizes, allowing it to connect to either a 4 inch or 6 inch duct. This vent comes with a 1-year warranty against product defects and workmanship.
