We used this fabric for patching with an elastomeric coating on a totally flat (modified bitumen) roof. Worked like a charm.
We paid a roofing company $5,000 to do some patches in the past, the roof leaked worse when they left. We did our own patches this time. This fabric is the only way to go if you’re looking to put off a new roof for a few years. Just make sure the roof is spotless and free of oil before you put it down. One coat of elastomeric, lay down the fabric, then a second coat. Check if you need to prime first, I opted not to. Also, never patch over a wet roof. The water will never leave, and it will rot your roof for sure.
This process sure beats a new $55,000 roof. My brother in Arizona swears by this process on over 100,000 sqft. of roof that was nothing but problems from day one. Now the buildings are not only dry, they are also much cooler.
Do it right the first time!!! I doubt you’ll have to recoat more than once the first 5 years, and maybe again after 10 years. Maybe even longer, depending on the sealer you use.

Looks good. Quality Roofing here in Chicago did not have anything for me. I’ve been doing my own flat roof for 30 years, and I just bought 10 gallons of Lucas 5000 to put another coat down, but I needed fabric for the place where the roof meats the brick.

APOC 483 Polyester Reinforcing Fabric is an AMAZING Product. I’m using it on a 7,000 sq-ft 100% flat roof. Leaks vanish using a tacky base coat of Lanco Ultra Siliconizer (RED LID), and then laying down the fabric. Once dry, I add a second coat of Lanco Ultra Siliconizer. I’m using these two products to restore a 20 year old modified bitumen roof. Contractor wanted $55,000. I’ll get this roof done for under well under $10,000. It’s my personal building, not for a customer. I’m not a roofing contractor. So if I can do it, you can too. You can put this fabric over just about anything if you are looking to prolong the inevitable of a new roof. And you can’t beat the price. It’s cheap enough to use on a gravel road, garden beds as a weed blocker, etc.. I can’t say enough good things about this product.
