More About Acid Brushes

RoofingDirect.com has several different models of high quality acid brushes to fit any size job, from small-scale application to heavy-duty stain removal, we have the right brush to help you get the job done.

Different Brushes for Different Jobs

Before making your selection, it's important to consider the scale and needs of the job in question. Below is a summary of the different types of acid brushes that we currently offer and what their primary functions are:
  • Brush Man #2 Acid Brush: This brush style makes excellent use of fibers made of horsehair, these are used for applying glues, adhesives, and other chemicals.
  • 8-1/4" Acid Brush: These come with sturdy agave plant-based tampico fill fibers, and are designed for removing soot from masonry. Comes with either tapered or threaded handle holes.

How to Use Acid Brushes Safely

Always follow the manufacturer's instructions when handling caustic chemicals and always wear the proper PPE, in this case rubber gloves and goggles. Prep the area by brushing away any loose dust, dirt, or debris, cover the surrounding roof area with a drop cloth, then proceed according to the manufacturer's guidance, scrubbing the area vigorously each time. It may take repeated cleanings to remove stubborn stains.
